Safety corridors in car parks

The emergency teams based at Adastral Park are here for the benefit of all and pride themselves on being able to deal with any number of different situations that can arise on a site of this size, promptly and efficiently.

However, an issue has been highlighted after a relatively minor incident recently where the fire team was asked to respond to an oil leak from a vehicle. The problem the team found was that getting the fire appliance near the vehicle proved impossible. Vehicles had been parked incorrectly on the ends of rows, which then didn't leave enough space for the fire appliance to access the far end of the car park.

A safety corridor has to be kept clear in car parks to allow access for fire tenders and other emergency vehicles, so please do not park on the end of rows.

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Issued on behalf of the Adastral Park Emergency Team
